Personal

I cultivate my interest in complementary medicine through the practice of Qigong (energy work) and ongoing self studies in complementary therapies and general wellbeing.

I practice acupuncture with an integrated approach that combines techniques such as TCM/Channel Theory and 5 Element Acupuncture, along with the Balance Method.

In my practice I often integrate (as necessary) Tui Na massage, Gua Sha, Cupping, Moxibustion and Electroacupuncture. This blend of techniques gives me the possibility to address a wide range of conditions from different perspectives.

Personal

I have previously studied and worked in the arts and business sectors. Over time, my compass in life led me to helping people in one way or another. My first few encounters with acupuncture many years ago made such a remarkable impression on me that I decided to learn the “language of Chinese Medicine”. It has been a joy and an honour to be a part of people’s life journeys with them, giving them pain relief, stress relief, and providing an opportunity for them to be in a space where their nervous system can relax and start healing. Since starting clinical practice, and observing my own experiences, I came to believe that the root of many imbalances in our body comes from the nervous system response to stress, shock, trauma, and overstimulated environment (especially in the urban setting), alongside physical traumas and environmental factors. With the aid of some lifestyle modifications I would aim to bring the nervous system back into balance as well as treating physical manifestations and musculoskeletal conditions. In addition to acupuncture treatments I enjoy helping patients build their own individual toolkit for their personal wellbeing journey. I treat with an integrated approach which, alongside acupuncture, often involves some form of mindfulness practice and body work, such as Qi Gong, Tui Na, acupressure, meditation, some reflexology, or massage and other tools.
